Bikes on Buses!
Learn how to bring your bike on an MTD bus!
The Champaign-Urbana Mass Transit District (MTD), whose mission charges the organization to "lead the way to greater mobility," continues to support local efforts to improve safety and access for pedestrians and bicyclists.
As the fiscal agent for the 2012-2014 C-U Safe Routes to School Project grant, MTD has provided staff time and resources to implement C-U SRTS Project's various programs in the community. For more information about MTD, and for bus routes and schedule times visit the MTD website.

Creating a Multimodal Community
Bringing your bike onboard a bus is just one way that MTD and the C-U SRTS Project work to promote multimodal mobility within the Champaign-Urbana area. Check out chair Cynthia Hoyle's explanation on the benefits of combining public transit and active transportation below.
