Bicycling to School Together - How to Organize and Operate a Bike Train
Bike trains help students to get to school while enjoying the outdoors with other bicyclists. Bike trains are best suited for children in upper elementary (4th to 5th grades) and middle school grades. Bike trains are led by adults - one at the front and one at the rear of the train - biking with students as they travel to and from school. One or two neighbors biking together, along a route with multiple “stations” where more riders join in become bike trains which can be a great way to instill a love of bicycling while developing life-long safety skills. Use the guide below to help organize your bike train!
