Youth Instructor Training Workshop - Held June 11th, 2021

A training workshop, funded through a Safe Routes to School grant from the Illinois Department of Transportation, was held in partnership with the Stephens Family YMCA on June 11th. Participants are now certified to teach students K-8 bicycle skills and safety tips. The training used the League of American Bicyclist’s Bicycle Skills 123 Clinic curriculum enhanced with Cycling Games curriculum from the Danish Cycling Embassy to make learning bicycle skills fun and engaging for younger students.
